About Summit Behavioral Health Union – Union
Summit Behavioral Health’s Union Clinic is on Morris Avenue in Union, New Jersey. This is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient recovery center for clients with substance use and/or co occurring mental health disorders.
The treatment includes a full time partial care program, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), regular outpatient and alumni programs. The center treats adolescents and adults. One of the good things about the outpatient programs here is that they accept insurance from many major providers. ”
Substance use disorder has many underlying issues. You might be struggling with co occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety or depression. But there are other issues as well and the program at Summit strives to address as many as possible. The issues may include financial, social, and even legal problems. All of these can contribute to substance use.
Counselors help you uncover your issues and provide you with the tools you need to protect your sobriety, even through difficulties. Examples of holistic therapies are yoga, mindfulness, meditation and nutritional education.
Adolescents have different needs when it comes to addiction treatment which is why Union Center offers an adolescent specific program. Teens learn the dangers of modern day drug use, including the idea that one pill can kill them if it’s laced with a dangerous drug such as fentanyl.
Teens also learn to resist peer pressure, manage the influence of social media on their lives and make wise choices when it comes to substance use. This helps them not only in high school but also in the future as they move into college or work.
All outpatient programs include alumni programs. These programs give you the ongoing support you need to maintain life long sobriety. This might include 12 step programs, sober events and more.
