About Sunrise Centre – Alpena
Sunrise Treatment and Recovery Centre is a nonprofit organization that provides substance use disorder treatment in Alpena, Michigan. They’re licensed by the State of Michigan and have been treating members of the communities since 1970. The services available at this facility include withdrawal management, residential treatment, outpatient treatment services, and early intervention.
The facility features both a male residence and a female residence so clients can receive gender specific care. The length of your stay in residential treatment will be based on your needs but can range anywhere from 30 to 120 days. The recovery services you’ll be provided with include peer support services, case management services and individual and group therapy.
Your therapy sessions will focus on topics such as life skills training and health and wellness education. I like that the facility also features different holistic services to include in your treatment plan.
Some of the services you can receive include recreational activity access, sound healing, and participation in recovery events. Through the various holistic services offered, they want to help clients build a toolbox of strategies to support long term recovery.
Individuals and families who are at risk of developing substance use disorder (SUD) can go here for early intervention support and case management support. The facility provides education and training support on the topics of substance use disorders and treatment. Sunrise Centre is also able to host and participate in various community events and conferences to help address the needs of the community.
Alpena offers various nature activities you can do outside of your treatment sessions. At Alpena Wildlife Sanctuary, some of the things you might try doing there include birdwatching, kayaking, and hiking.
