About Talbott Recovery Dunwoody – Atlanta
Talbott Recovery Dunwoody is based in Dunwoody, Georgia, just outside Atlanta. They have several specialties for addiction treatment. There’s a program for young adults, one for pilots, one for healthcare workers, and one for working professionals. There’s also a night program, too. Their main general offerings are partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs for adults and veterans.
The partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs are geared towards addressing dual diagnosis conditions. This means that, aside from the addiction itself, there may be underlying mental illnesses that add to the issue. By using a 12 Step method and motivational enhancement, the case management team has a better chance of helping you with your recovery. The day program is six hours each day, five days per week. The intensive outpatient program is more flexible, with treatment three hours a day, five days each week. The three hours can occur in the evenings.
All programs are based on therapy, like trauma care. They don’t use meds or have medication management. Instead, there are holistic treatments like yoga and nutrition programs. Once you graduate, there’s an alumni group that meets regularly and has a monthly newsletter about different topics, like spiritual care and sexual health.
