Located in Cutler Bay, Florida, The Advocate Program is a not-for-profit agency that provides behavioral health services to adults suffering from mental illness and/or substance use disorder. They have been serving the community for more than 50 years and primarily work with clients who were court-ordered to participate in treatment. The Advocate Program aims to be accessible by using a sliding-scale payment method. There are also funds available to residents of Miami-Dade County who are uninsured or underinsured.
The clinic aims to be flexible by offering virtual services for Florida residents who live outside of the Miami-Dade area.
They also aim to meet clients’ needs by providing services during the evenings and on weekends in addition to normal business hours. On top of its clinical services the clinic has several other programs including a DUI school, services for veterans, services resources for housing and services that cater to families who are dealing with violence and/or other serious conflicts.
