About The Ed Keating Center – Jones Road – Cleveland
The Ed Keating Center on Jones Road was a sober living home for men in Cleveland, Ohio. The Jones Road location is now permanently closed but the healthcare center does have other locations throughout the Cleveland, Ohio area.
This center used a 12-step approach to sobriety. You would begin with a three month residential placement and attend 12-step meetings nightly. The meetings were facilitated by recovering alcoholics. In addition to attending the meetings, you were required to get a sponsor.
While here, clients worked so they could learn how to financially provide for themselves. They also paid a small fee while staying here to help support the facility. The center had the philosophy that staying sober must come first.
Several former clients have talked about how the Keating Centers have helped them become sober, put their faith in God and get their family back. These clients have gone from living off the streets, losing their kids, spouses, and parents and serving time in prison to going into the program. There, they’ve learned to live a clean, sober life, reconnect with their family, get a job and maintain it.
The facility is named after Ed Keating. He was a famous sports agent who was able to conquer his alcoholism through recovery support treatments similar to this one.
