About The Extension – Marietta
The Extension is a residential treatment center in Marietta, Georgia for people with drug addiction or alcohol addiction. The facility on Church Street is a men’s campus but there’s a separate campus for women too.
The men’s program is built to help adult men over 25 recover from addiction and establish a healthy and productive sober life. The program can last between nine months and a year depending on your progress, and you’ll live on campus during this time. It’s a larger facility treating up to 80 men at a time.
One especially helpful fact about the program at The Extension is that it brings together several types of treatment so you get a well-rounded recovery. You’ll have group therapy, counseling, peer support groups, family counseling, and training classes for life skills and relapse prevention. There are three phases of the program, so you start with 33 hours of recovery activities per week and then it lowers at each stage.
Treatment at The Extension is customized for every client. One thing that a lot of clients love is that the alumni program is very active. Past clients come back often to support current clients and this makes for a great network of support. The program is CARF accredited too so you can rest easy that you’re in good hands.
