About The GateHouse Lititz – Lititz
The GateHouse for Men is a residential addiction treatment center in Lititz, Pennsylvania. They offer extended care for men in recovery, giving them a safe and sober place to live before they transition back into society. You can pay for the services in cash or use private insurance. They also accept Medicaid and county funding.
Most men participate in this program for around three to six months. To get the most out of your stay, they recommend that you complete detox services or inpatient treatment elsewhere before joining. While you’re here, you’ll learn the basic life skills you need to sustain your recovery once you’re out on your own.
I like that they focus on treating the physical, spiritual, and psychological sides of addiction. Their treatment takes place over three different phases, and each phase includes 12 step meetings, home group discussions, group counseling sessions, and daily household chores.
One great thing about this facility is that it recently underwent a total makeover. In 2023, the building was transformed inside and out thanks to a grant from the Lancaster County Drug and Alcohol Commission. The exterior got new materials and landscaping while the interior got new paint and furniture. They also expanded one bedroom to make space for two more residents. In addition to making the space more comfortable and homelike, these renovations also reinforced the concept of starting over and made a difference to the guests.
Some men who have gone through this program in the past say they benefitted from the on site and community wide meetings they attended. They also report that the people who work there are very kind and ready to help.
