The Golden Rule is a non-profit organization that offer a long-term residential substance abuse treatment for women. They are dedicated to offering women a chance for a good recovery and a brand new life. Additionally to their counseling, they provide academic education and job preparedness skills.
The basic treatment phase is a combination of addiction teaching, lectures, classes, group/individual counseling, AA/NA meetings, as well as the activities of daily living such as general housecleaning, chores, work, free time. Golden Rule learn to live and work in an environment free of alcohol and drugs.
During their residential treatment, they provide a variety of group sessions including relapse prevention, domestic violence, therapeutic issues, individual counseling, parenting education groups, finances and budgeting, life skills training, 12 Step, GED preparation/adult education, math tutoring and work ready program.
