About The Providence Center – Adult Intensive Outpatient Services – Providence
The Providence Center is Rhode Island’s leading substance abuse and mental health treatment provider. They are accredited by CARF which means that they meet the highest program standards. They offer an impressive 60+ programs and wraparound services including housing, job training, food, legal services and more.
Their adult intensive outpatient services are located in Providence, Rhode Island. This clinic is housed in a multi-story brick building that includes multiple businesses and services. It is easy to get to this clinic via RIPTA. It is steps from the Route 50 Eddy and Thurbers stop.
The Providence Center accepts many commercial health insurance plans including Tufts, Blue Cross Blue Shield of RI, United Healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid and MHN/TriCare.
I like that each client works with staff to break down goals and the steps you’ll need to take to get there. You’ll get access to individual, group and family therapy as well as learn techniques for how to prevent relapse.
One of their striking features is that all their outpatient clients get access to recovery support services at the Anchor Recovery Community Center. This center is also located in Providence and welcomes everyone in recovery from substance use disorders.
Here, they offer a community center where folks can come and take part in peer-led groups, get resources and talk to recovery support specialists. They don’t offer clinical counseling here but it’s a great added hub to help you along your recovery journey. They also provide employment services and you can use their computers and other facilities and programs like a recovery-based art club and more.
