About The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center – Milwaukee

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, houses men from all over the state who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. A few of the program’s many essential elements include work therapy, individual counseling, spiritual counseling and recreational activities. The program’s goal is to teach individuals effective work habits and boost their self esteem through work therapy.

Participants will be able to reintegrate into society and feel deserving of their achievements thanks to this program. This can also facilitate their entry or re-entry into the workforce. Everyone enrolled in the program is required to sign an admissions statement attesting to the work therapy component. Individuals declare they’re aware that they are program participants rather than employees.

Participants in work therapy adhere to a weekly maximum of 40 hours, but there is no standard minimum duration. It’s possible to modify the schedule to accommodate participants’ needs. No money is given to the participants in this program. If their rehabilitation progresses in all areas they may be eligible for a small weekly gratuity.

Staff members help participants apply for jobs when the rehabilitation program is almost over. This allows them to graduate with a job and live independently. Employment is seen to be crucial to graduates’ ability to lead fulfilling lives and effectively reintegrate into society.

In order to allow participants to concentrate on their recovery this 180 day residential program offers housing, food and life skills development typically at no cost. A participant may be able to use some government benefits if qualified to assist with paying for their lodging, meals and clothes. Contributions to their Family and Thrift Stores enable the facility’s charitable program.
