Tillamook Family Counseling Center is a behavioral health service provider that offers substance abuse treatment in Tillamook, Oregon. They treat addictions to drugs and alcohol as well as problem gambling addiction. Their treatments are available to adolescents and adults. Clients will go through an assessment and be given a treatment plan for recovery that suits their specific needs. They offer outpatient and intensive outpatient services. As a part of the outpatient services, clients receive individual, group and family counseling. I like that this location also provides treatment services specifically for individuals who’ve had criminal issues as a result of substance abuse.

One program that stands out at Tillamook Family Counseling Center is the Prime+ Peer Program. It’s a free peer support program that anyone in Tillamook County can access with a quick phone call. Staff members will provide individuals with overdose prevention education and help clients get access to the overdose reversal drug Naloxone. Additionally, the program helps individuals get linked to primary care services, infectious disease screens and other needs. Peer Recovery Mentors help clients stay committed to their recovery and create a roadmap for success.

For women, Tillamook Family Counseling Center provides a transitional recovery house to stay in while they go through their recovery journey. It’s available to clients who are currently in Tillamook’s substance use disorder program. Clients in the recovery house will get help with accessing supportive services through community resources and agencies. They’ll also receive help coming up with a recovery plan that leads them toward self-sufficiency.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Outpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
