About Together for Youth – Canaan
Together for Youth, formerly known as the Berkshire Farm Center for Youth Outpatient, is an organization that supports children and families who are working through difficult life struggles that are impacting their mental and behavioral health. They have dedicated residential treatment programs for children and teens who have exhibited at-risk behaviors or have a substance use or dual diagnosis.
These programs are available for individuals aged 21 and under who are covered through Medicare.
At this organization, 100% of the children and teens who come through their programming have endured some sort of trauma in their past. To help address these community needs, culturally competent and sensitive care is offered through the different programs available.
To help support you on your recovery journey, children will work through the residential treatment program in a secluded, naturally rich location just south of Albany. The wooded landscape and natural scenery here provide a calming atmosphere for children to connect with nature and focus fully on their recovery needs. There’s a sense of peace and safety and children engage in recreational activities, skills building, and productive social group and leisure activities
Together for Youth has a strong focus on helping children and families who are involved in the juvenile criminal justice system. There are programs offered through this organization that provide both secure and non-secure detention facilities. These programs address the needs of juvenile offenders.
