About Tri County Human Services – Agape House – Winter Haven
Agape Halfway House is part of the continuum of substance use recovery programs provided by the Tri County Human Services network.
This 10-bed transitional facility provides structured residential care for women in the early stage of addiction recovery like those who have completed relatively high-intensity treatment but seek a supportive space to build recovery life skills as they transition back into independent living. The facility is situated in the mid sized suburban city of Winter Haven within Polk County in Florida, known for its Chain of Lakes.
The main aim of this residential program is to equip women over 18 with tools that support independent living in recovery. Residents benefit from 24/7 support in a conducive communal setting that inspires healing. The residential care is individualized to address the unique recovery needs of each resident.
While onsite, you’ll attend individual and group counseling to build practical coping skills that support relapse prevention. The therapy groups cover life skill development and daily living skills like health communication, stress management and problem solving. These are key recipes for a life of sustainable sobriety.
Vocational development is an integral component of the program as well. You can gain job skills like resume writing, interview preparation and workplace communication. This positions you to be gainfully employed upon completion so you can maintain financial independence which enhances lasting stability in recovery. The program here generally lasts for six months. As you prepare for reentry, your case manager will link you to community service that benefits your lasting healing.
