UAB Community Psychiatry Program is affiliated with The University of Alabama at Birmingham. They’re out in Birmingham, Alabama. They offer outpatient services such as diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment for minors and adults who have emotional and mental health issues. They help treat issues that include Alzheimer’s, eating disorders, anxiety, Autism, panic disorder, depression, mood disorders, and personality disorders.
Their program provides different types of therapies such as cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy and electroconvulsive therapy. They also provide assessments and referrals for occupational therapy, psychological testing, and outpatient diagnostic evaluations.
They’ve adult day centers to help with caring for adults with intellectual or developmental disorders. They also have treatment programs in the summer for individuals who’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and autism.
