About UF Health Flagler Hospital – St. Augustine
UF Health Flagler Hospital is a 335 bed hospital with the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The hospital offers many medical services, including cancer care, surgery, and stroke care. Additionally, they have partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for substance use disorder or SUD and co occurring mental health issues. The hospital is located in St. Augustine, Florida. They accept commercial health insurance and some Medicare Advantage and Medicaid plans.
If you want to spend your recovery near natural beauty, this hospital is only four miles from beautiful St. Augustine Beach where you can drive your car onto the wide expanse of sand if conditions permit. There are volleyball courts, a playground, trails, and picnic areas. The pier permits fishing.
The mental health and addiction programs at the hospital include PHP and IOP programs, both of which are outpatient. The primary goal of both programs is to prevent hospitalization or relapse and reduce your symptoms to enhance the quality of your life.
To be eligible for the programs, you’ll need to be medically stable and not at risk of self harm or harm to others. You’ll be attending cognitive based therapies so you’ll have to be able and willing to participate. Your psychiatric symptoms must be interfering with your daily functioning. No substances are allowed in the program.
