About Unison Behavioral Health – Alma
Unison Behavioral Health is a treatment center located in Alma, Georgia. At this facility they offer outpatient services to adults who are struggling with behavioral health and addiction. Services include medication assisted treatment (MAT), peer support services, case management, crisis intervention and therapy.
In the beginning of your journey of healing, having doubt, confusion, and uncertainty is normal and understandable. When transitioning to a new way of life and no longer abusing substances the aftermath of this can weigh on your mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. The MAT program provides an approach to help the changes be less severe from chemical dependency. You will be assessed by medical staff to identify what would be the most appropriate approach to medication management. Based on the evaluation you will be prescribed medication that is designed to help reduce cravings, decrease the intensity of withdrawals, and prevent the chances of relapse or overdose. Wellness check ins will be part of this treatment.
Individual, family, and group therapy will also be available throughout the time you are in outpatient care. Your individualized care plan will determine how often you will have therapy sessions. This allows you to keep up with work, school, and day to day responsibilities. Outpatient treatment will also give you time to still remain connected to your support network and remain active in your recovery.
