UP Health System–Marquette provides mental and behavioral health care for youth and adults in Marquette, Michigan, including crisis intervention and patient stabilization, medically supervised detox and intensive inpatient care, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and general outpatient (OP) and aftercare programming. Specialized services are available for adolescents, young adults, pregnant and postpartum women, and persons with co-occurring disorders.

Clients receive round-the-clock clinical supervision, medical and mental health assessments, personalized care planning, and comprehensive case management. Those undergoing detox may be prescribed FDA-approved medications to ease withdrawal symptoms and prevent potentially serious complications. Their evidence-based MAT program is designed to reduce cravings and decrease the risk of relapse for clients in alcohol and/or opioid recovery. Treatment options include buprenorphine, naltrexone, and related FDA-approved pharmacotherapies. Clients also engage in intensive individual, group, and family counseling and robust, recovery-focused life skills training addressing topics such as coping, self-care, and relapse prevention.
Their outpatient and aftercare services ensure a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs and may include step-down support and referrals for additional medical, mental health, and social service programs.
