About Upper Valley Turning Point – Hartford
Upper Valley Turning Point provides substance abuse treatment in Hartford, Vermont. It is a community center for those in recovery that gives them a secure, stable setting to continue pursuing their sobriety. Guests can enjoy amenities like a library, public access computers, a lounge area, a full kitchen, recreational activities, and Wi-Fi.
While you work on recovery in their substance-free environment, you’ll have peer support at no additional cost. Peers can provide navigation for treatment and access to other recovery resources and education.
Upper Valley partners with numerous community services to give guests more access to resources for continued sobriety. They work with the Hartford Police Department and Health Care and Rehab Services of Hartford, Vermont helping those with overdose issues or who request substance use assistance from the police.
They also partner with DUI treatment courts to provide participants with staff visits that introduce them to recovery assistance and peer support. Mount Ascutney Hospital works with Upper Valley with its Community Health Improvement Program to help residents with substance use issues get the resources they need.
They provide Narcan at no charge. This medication can reverse an overdose quickly and can be life-saving.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available with Better Life Partners, another center that collaborates with Upper Valley to help guests who struggle with opioid or alcohol addiction.
The supportive network can help clients remain in recovery with the resources they need to overcome addiction permanently while pursuing independence and self-sufficiency. The goal is to lift people up and help them learn how to have a meaningful, sober lifestyle.
