VA Illiana Health Care System – Mattoon Community Based Outpatient Clinic strives to be a patient-centered integrated health care organization for Veterans providing excellence in health care, research, and education. Mattoon Community Based Outpatient Clinic provides outpatient services for mental health and substance abuse.
Since 1898, their buildings, facilities, patients, and missions have changed, but remaining constant is VA Illiana Health Care System’s endeavor in improving the health of the men and women who have so proudly served the nation. Being the 8th oldest VA facility, they consider it their privilege to serve patient’s health care needs in any way they can. Services are available to more than 150,000 veterans living in the surrounding 34-county areas of Illinois and Indiana.
VA Illiana Health Care System offers services to patients who served in the active military, naval or air service and are separated under any condition other than dishonorable. Current and former members of the Reserves or National Guard who were called to active duty (other than for training only) by a federal order and completed the full period for which they were called or ordered to active duty may be eligible for VA health care as well.
The VA Medical Center is on the Danville bus line; departures and arrivals are scheduled frequently throughout the day. The pick-up and drop-off is located in front of Building 98 at the main entrance of the medical center. Other pick up shelters are located in front of Building 58, 101, and 102.
