About Valley Behavioral Health – Park City
Based in Park City, Utah, Valley Behavioral Health is a now-closed private nonprofit behavioral treatment center. CARF-accredited, services here were available to clients of all ages. Services here were available in both English and Spanish.
Back when it was open, clients could benefit from flexible scheduling for their mental health and addiction treatment sessions. In this way, they could keep up with any work or study commitments while in recovery. This might of course have meant also experiencing ‘real world’ triggers, too. However, the team here was on hand to provide support for this that would help clients build up their coping skills and resilience to such situations.
A key feature of outpatient treatment here was group counseling, which provided an ideal container in which participants could learn to recognize their triggers while receiving support from their peers. In turn, this regular communal support was great for helping clients feel less alone in their recovery journey. Individual and family therapy were also available, with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) among the styles used.
Other outpatient services here also included case management services, psychotherapy, and medication management services.
Support was also available for individuals who have been referred to get treatment by the criminal justice system. This typically included specialized substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, outpatient mental health services, intensive outpatient services (IOP), and programming for abusive partners and domestic violence offenders.
