About Visions of the Cross – Redding
Visions of the Cross Rehab offers faith based, comprehensive treatment services for substance use and co-occurring (dual diagnosis) disorders. The facility is on Ricardo Avenue in Redding, California on a 4.1 acre recovery campus. The programs are state licensed and Medi-Cal approved.
There are four adjacent cul de sacs containing a women’s residential treatment program with 32 beds and a 30-bed men’s residential treatment program. There’s another cul de sac housing the recovery residences, transitional housing, and outpatient programs. They accept insurance, including Medi-Cal and Partnership HealthPlan of CA. However, housing is not covered by Medi-Cal, so staff will help you determine your eligibility for funding options.
The residential treatment programs welcome men and women with children. You’ll have an individualized treatment plan that includes counseling and case management. They also provide medical services. You’ll participate in therapy to help you get to the root of your substance use disorder which is often due to a co-occurring disorder like anxiety or depression. If you need medication assisted treatment (MAT), they collaborate with local physicians for your medication management.
The inpatient program includes psychoeducation, life skills education, ongoing evaluations and assessments, nutrition, wellness, and smoking cessation. They emphasize trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
After an inpatient stay, you may be ready for an outpatient or intensive outpatient program (IOP). The outpatient programs are flexible and offer evening programs in addition to the day programs. The outpatient programs include random drug screenings, evaluations, and assessments. You’ll have a minimum of nine hours of group work every week, and you must attend a minimum of three days per week for three hours.
You’ll learn about 12 Step recovery and have individual counseling with an addiction counselor. They have special programs for mothers with children as well as programs for dads. The center participates in the Families Living in a Therapeutic Environment program (FLITE). This program lasts 16 weeks for parents and includes substance use treatment, child reunification services, and case management.
