About Vista del Mar Hospital – Ventura
Vista del Mar Hospital is a private behavioral health and substance abuse treatment center. They offer detox, inpatient (IP), partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), and dual diagnosis services to adolescent and adult clients. They also offer a military support program specializing in the treatment of PTSD. You’ll find ’em on 16 acres in Ventura, California.
This program is available to adult clients and takes place in a community setting. During this phase of treatment, clients are cared for 24 hours a day by medical staff as they withdraw from drugs and alcohol.
This facility has separate adolescent and adult inpatient programs. Inpatient care takes clients out of potentially distracting environments and has them reside on campus, where they can be cared for by staff. Treatment plans are individualized and may include individual, group, and family therapy. Clients also participate in education groups, life skills building, medication management, expressive therapies, physical recreation, and socialization programs.
Their partial hospitalization program (PHP) meets Monday through Friday for two to four weeks. This intensive day program for adult clients emphasizes group and family therapy.
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is designed for clients transitioning out of a higher level of care. This day program has three sessions a week with a heavy focus on symptom management.
Dual diagnosis care is designed for clients living with both addiction and a mental health diagnosis. This form of treatment addresses both diagnoses to lower the risk of relapse. Dual diagnosis treatment at this facility incorporates the 12 Step model.
Vista Del Mar Hospital works with many major insurance plans, including Aetna, Compcare, Healthsmart, Value Options, and Multiplan. Clients should confirm coverage with their plan before enrolling in a treatment plan, as out-of-network benefits may vary.
