About Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center – Waianae
Located in Waianae, Hawaii is the Waianae main campus of the larger Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. Open daily except for Sundays, this clinic offers comprehensive support for behavioral health needs you might have.
There are a continuum of other health services available here including but not limited to medical care, LGBTQ+ affirming care, ancillary services, and access to social support services. They accept Medicaid and Medicare. There are discounted fees if you are uninsured or are experiencing financial hardships. Care is offered in an outpatient setting.
Their substance abuse recovery program here covers the gamut of treatment services. You’ll be supported through detoxification, therapy, and medication assisted treatment under this program.
As you work through your treatment, you’ll also have the support of addiction education so that you feel empowered and educated to make stronger and healthier life choices. This will be weaved into your counseling sessions.
You’ll also have access to support groups, including Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous. This encourages you to tap into the network of peer support that will be available to you when you find yourself experiencing hardships in your recovery.
The Waianae main campus also does a good job connecting you with aftercare services so that you can stay the course of your recovery after your treatment program.
You’ll get connected to support groups in your local community, continued therapy, and even vocational and housing services. With this safety net in place after you complete treatment, you’re more likely to stay on your path of sobriety.
At the Waianae campus, you will have support applying for and receiving different social services that are available. This can include applying for the Women, Infants, and Children program (WIC) and getting connected to the Native Hawaiian Traditional Healing Center, where culturally appropriate and sensitive care is offered to Native Hawaiians.
You’ll also have access to transportation services for easier access to your appointments, not only to the main Waianae campus but to other campuses within this health network.
