About Wasatch Mental Health – Orem – Orem
Wasatch Behavioral Health is a public organization that offers comprehensive behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) services to children, teens, and adults throughout Utah. One of their locations is this treatment center in Orem, Utah.
This location offers medication assisted treatment (MAT), a youth outpatient and young adult program, a men’s outpatient program, criminal justice programs, and a urinalysis lab. Most clients treated at the clinic use Medicaid, and the clinic accepts traditional Medicaid and nontraditional Medicaid. They do not accept PCN Medicaid.
Approximately 45 miles south of Salt Lake City, Utah, Orem is a scenic area at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and close to Utah Lake. The city has stunning views of Mount Timpanogos, and residents enjoy taking in outdoor activities such as hiking and cross country skiing.
The SUD programs include residential detox at one of the organization’s nearby inpatient treatment centers in Provo, if appropriate. There’s also an intensive residential treatment program at the Provo location.
The program includes therapy, education, and assistance with developing skills for daily living. MAT is also available for clients with opioid addiction.
The Orem location also offers adult drug court programs via referrals from attorneys or judges. Two adult drug courts handle probation and felonies. Three family drug courts are for adults with children involved in the Division of Child and Family Services.
When offenders plead guilty to felony or drug related charges, they may be offered an alternative to incarceration through the drug courts. The court provides SUD and behavioral health treatment services and structured supervision at the Orem location.
Additionally, drug involved, nonviolent offenders may be given the option of the Utah County Alternative Probation program (UCAP). The program provides supervision services within the community. Offenders are referred by judges through the Utah County Sheriff’s Office. Individuals in the programs are subject to drug testing.
