About Weber Human Services – Ogden
Weber Human Services serves Morgan and Weber Counties and is located in Ogden, Utah. They offer many programs including mental health and substance use disorder treatment all through a cooperative agreement with the local government.
For mental health and substance use treatment, they accept Medicaid. They also accept insurance from many private providers. If you don’t have insurance, they have a sliding fee scale they base on the size of your family and your income.
If you need help with a substance use disorder, you’ll first have an assessment. The assessment is two one hour sessions with a licensed clinician. After this, you’ll have a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
They’ll also treat any co-occurring mental health disorder, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia. They offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) as well as urinalysis testing. If you participate in MAT treatment, you are required to attend individual and group therapy.
Depending on your treatment plan, you’ll have individual and group counseling. They also have family counseling and peer support with recovery coaches. The substance use and mental health programs are all outpatient.
The center does not offer an inpatient program. There are, however, two residential treatment programs. Stepping Stones is a residential treatment center for men. Women and their children can stay in another residential treatment center – Tranquility Home.
One former client noted that the treatment was the light at the end of the tunnel. It was also noted that the staff are nice and patient and treat the clients with kindness and compassion.
