Wedge Recovery Center – Juniper Office is a behavioral health facility located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They treat people for many different kinds of mental health issues. You can schedule an appointment for an intake meeting or simply walk in. You’ll provide basic information to an intake specialist. Then you’ll receive an evaluation from a psychiatrist who will determine any mental health conditions you have and whether or not you should be treated at this location or a different one.
You will be treated with individual or group therapy once a week. The doctor may also recommend family or couples counseling.
People who need a higher level of treatment may get treatment through the Recovery and Education Center (REC). People in this program have major mood disorders such as anxiety or a psychotic disorder. Members get to choose the activities and groups they will participate in for the day. You may attend educational sessions where you’ll learn about mental health or develop new skills. They also have a group for people with dual diagnosis in which you will be offered coping skills that can help you avoid the urge to use substances to deal with mental health issues.
In addition to traditional therapy, they offer equine therapy and spirituality-based group sessions. They have a group specifically for older clients offered on Saturdays. They also offer massage therapy and health and wellness groups.
The company has several locations that offer medication assisted treatment (MAT) to those with opioid use disorder. The trained staff can administer the medications until you are stabilized and you can take them on your own. They also have therapy designed especially for opioid users.
