About Weems Community Mental Health – Meridian
The Weems Community Mental Health Center is located in Meridian, Mississippi and serves residents throughout Lauderdale County. This is the main center and they offer administrative support, outpatient care, and additional services here that can address your health and wellness needs.
They have programs that cater to adolescents and adults who are struggling with a substance use disorder. There are also specialized programs for seniors age 50 and older, along with other social support services.
Next door, there is the Weems LifeCare Center where substance abuse support services are offered. Here, you’ll also find state certified DUI assessments and programs as well. If you complete the treatment program, you also get two years of free aftercare support.
Both intensive outpatient and general outpatient services are offered through the Weems Community Mental Health Center. At Weems Life Care, you’ll be supported through intensive substance abuse treatment services. This includes working with a substance abuse professional, receiving extended services if you need them, and getting connected to their aftercare program.
Their outpatient program is more geared toward individuals who are ready to step down from an intensive outpatient program and need regular check ins where they can touch base with a counselor. You’ll also have access to mental health services if you have a coexisting disorder.
Although this Community Mental Health Center takes a traditional, clinical approach to care, there are services that focus more on your recovery journey as a person. For example, you can work with certified peer support specialists and gain insight from their lived experiences.
Their aftercare services are another way you can continue building your network of support so that you can stay on the path of recovery.
Adolescents in recovery will also find targeted individual counseling. Teens work to get to the root cause of their addiction struggles, learning skills and strategies to help them make healthier life choices.
