About WestCare – Bullhead City Community Involvement Center – Bullhead City
Adults who live in Bullhead City in Arizona can visit WestCare – Bullhead City Community Involvement Center. It’s a community treatment center that offers a variety of programs including outpatient substance abuse treatment, DUI screening, and domestic violence offender treatment. This Westcare location is partially funded through state and county resources, including the Arizona Supreme Court. System advocacy and local transportation services can also be accessed through this facility.
For outpatient addiction treatment, you’ll attend group sessions several times per week. Westcare accepts self-pay clients, court-ordered clients, and anyone else who is in need of substance abuse counseling. Several different times are available to accommodate a variety of schedules. If you’re referred through an agency, they’ll keep in contact with them to share your completion certificate.
For misdemeanor domestic violence treatment, you’ll engage in a two hour intake appointment followed by a 26 week state mandated program. Sessions will teach you how to navigate domestic violence in families and anger management strategies.
The DUI screening is a one-hour appointment where you’ll meet with a specialist to determine what level of addiction treatment you need. After your evaluation, you’ll be enrolled in level one or level two classes. The level one classes include 36 hours and level two classes include 16 hours of classes. Treatment progress is sent back to the court that needs updates.
I really like the transportation service Westcare provides. This is a free service that can take families and children to various types of appointments throughout the area. The mini vans can fit seven passengers and are available seven days per week.
