About WestCare – Community Involvement Center – Atlanta
WestCare Georgia, a family of tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, provides a wide spectrum of health and human services in outpatient environments. WestCare services include substance abuse and addiction treatment, homeless and runaway shelters, domestic violence treatment and prevention, and mental health programs.
At WestCare, their main objective is to “uplift the human spirit” by continuously improving, expanding and strengthening the quality, efficacy of everything they do. They seek to improve everyone they come into contact in order for them to grow, change and heal.
Some of the services offered by WestCare include: outpatient counseling services to minority women for substance abuse and prevent risky behaviors, community outreach, screening and assessments, case management, job readiness, recovery support, and HIV or Hepatitis C testing.
