Village South on Flagler Street is located in Pembroke Pines, Florida. They are part of Westcare and offer mental health and substance abuse treatment. At this location, you are able to receive treatment for dual diagnosis. Their programs treat both adults and adolescents in an outpatient setting.
Their adolescent program treats teenagers between the ages of 12 and 17 years old. Your teenager may be in treatment between three to six months, depending on their needs. What stood out to me about this program is that your teenager will attend weekly individual and family therapy. They will also be drug tested weekly and have monthly progress reports.
Their adult program is for men and women 18 years and older. If this program is right for you, then treatment can last three to six months. If you do need treatment longer than 6 months then it can be extended. You must have a substance use or dual diagnosis disorder to be accepted into the program.
Medication assisted treatment is available to help reduce any cravings or withdrawal symptoms. Women and women with children can receive residential services. I like that they offer child care services to help women get the treatment they need. Among their programs, they also offer early education prevention and intervention for children and families. They also have specialty services that include family and drug court case management and veteran services.
