About White Horse Ranch – Mooreland
White Horse Ranch treats substance abuse and mental health conditions for females 12 to 18. They offer residential and outpatient services. This unique program is designed around equine therapy and outdoors healing in a western-style ranch. You’ll find ‘em located out in Mooreland, Oklahoma.
The primary treatment available is their residential four-level system. Each level lasts 30 days. This service may uncover the root causes of addiction and treat them for long-term recovery. The typical stay is 4 to 6 months.
They base the program on Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, which illustrates what most people need to thrive. Using this system, they focus on the positive qualities of each person rather than concentrating on negative aspects. The focus is not on riding horses, but communicating and working with them so you can regulate your emotions, build up skills and patience, and learn to care for others.
The first stage is about stabilization and decompression. The team teaches coping skills and communication strategies for positive interactions. You’ll also have opportunities to work on the needs that matter most to you.
Stage two is about your emotional intelligence and the interpretations you have of events. It helps with the root causes of substance use and teaches you how to examine your belief system to become more positive and self-aware.
Level three also works on developing coping skills and more growth as your beliefs transition and change. You’ll learn new behaviors and actions to change how you view situations. This service helps produce a healthier mindset.
The final level focuses on the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical aspects of healing. In this rural small town, they’ll teach you how to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy factors. You’ll learn to have healthy social interactions and experiences that help with long-term sobriety.
They accept most private health insurance plans but do not accept Medicaid.
