About William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility – Orangeburg
The William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility provides addiction treatment services for young adults aged 10 to 17 in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Here, you’ll find inpatient and outpatient treatment options to help you break the hold that alcohol and drugs have on your life. The program operates under the Tri County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
One unique feature of this facility is that you don’t have to be struggling with addiction to enroll in their services. They help treat many different issues that young people deal with, including anger, emotional imbalance, and difficult behaviors. They do so because they understand that a lot of times these problems can snowball into bigger ones, including substance abuse. They take a prevention focused approach and try to address outstanding concerns as quickly as possible.
If you need outpatient care, some of the services they offer include personalized assessments, case management, crisis stabilization, and counseling services. You can attend your counseling sessions alone, with your family, or in a group of your peers. These same services are also available for inpatient clients, but the main difference is that you’ll live on site at the facility while you complete your treatment. The inpatient program also includes 24 hour supervision, medical and psychiatric services, life skills development, spiritual programs, recreational activities, and comprehensive discharge planning.
