William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital is a full service hospital located in Madison, Wisconsin. Among the care here, the hospital provides treatment for veterans with substance use disorder (SUD) on an outpatient basis. They also treat people who struggle with mental health issues and addiction issues at the same time.

They offer both in-person and virtual appointments. They offer a special program for veterans called the Addictive Disorders Treatment Program.

When you start your addiction treatment, you will be assigned a case manager and a therapist will give you a full evaluation. They provide group and individual therapy. The staff can prescribe medicine for detox symptoms and for psychiatric needs as well.

In addition to cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, therapists here offer motivational enhancement therapy which is specifically designed for people who struggle with alcohol use disorder. They provide contingency management therapy in which you will get rewards for drug free urine tests and other sobriety achievements.

24-Hour Clinical Care

24 hour clinical care provides close medical supervision for individuals in the early stages of recovery. Medical professionals monitor individuals around the clock for complications and provide immediate intervention when needed.

Aftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Inpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months).
