About Women Veterans Program – Ellenville
The Women’s Veteran’s Program of Ulster County in Ellenville is run by the Samaritan Village in New York State. It has a residential and outpatient treatment program designed specifically to meet the needs of female veterans. It provides gender-specific trauma-informed therapy that includes mental and physical health care, medication assisted treatment, evidence-based therapy and treatment models such as Moral Reconation Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
Individual and group counseling as well as family therapy. They provide recovery and life skills development, housing, education and employment services, recreational activities, and PTSD treatment to help women heal from past trauma and enable them to make healthy choices in the future.
Addiction and mental health services are offered to veterans no matter what their military discharge status is. Help and support is available through their veterans’ program.
There is also a residential treatment program and outpatient services available at this location for those who haven’t served in the military. If a patient would feel more comfortable in a civilian treatment program.
