Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation is the Tribal Organization administering the healthcare delivery system for rural communities in southwest Alaska. They service 58 communities. They offer many services including behavioral health and treatment for those with substance use disorders. If you’re in a federally recognized Tribe in southwest Alaska, you qualify for YKHC’s healthcare delivery system.
There are both outpatient and residential treatment programs if you need help or support dealing with substance use and mental health disorders. They also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT). There are also group homes available if your needs are more long term or you need help getting back to a normal independent lifestyle.
There’s also a sobering center if you’re intoxicated and need a safe place or temporary care. Once you wake up, they’ll offer a brief intervention, screening and referral services for more intensive care.
Their outpatient therapies can help you deal with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorder and other issues affecting your mental health. They have a preventative services department that helps prevent and protect against substance misuse.
