About Zepf Center – West Wooster Street – Bowling Green
The Zepf Center is a Toledo based community services organization that also has this office in Bowling Green, Ohio. They have a lot of services and programs but one of them is their drug and alcohol addiction treatment. This program includes inpatient detox and residential treatment options.
They have several different treatment options for people with substance use disorder. For starters, they offer medical detox. This is where you’ll have a medical team supervising your detox and making sure you’re safe while also managing your symptoms with medications.
They actually have two types of detox here. The first is inpatient detox which is what most people picture when they think of detox. You’re in a clinical setting with just a few other clients who are detoxing. The second option is residential detox where you’re detoxing in more of a homelike environment. You have a more social atmosphere as you detox.
There’s a residential rehab program here too. In this program, you’ll have evidence based addiction treatment like individual therapy and group therapy to help you understand and work through the issues that impact your addiction.
The goal is to help you develop strategies for maintaining your sobriety and to resolve underlying issues so you aren’t as drawn to drugs and alcohol. They also use medication assisted treatment so they can offer medications that will lower your cravings for alcohol or opioids.
Clients here say that this facility is a great resource for the community. They find the counselors to be caring and helpful although some do say that there are communication and scheduling issues from the front desk or that there are long wait times.
