Founded in 1947, Group Health Cooperative (GHC) is a not-for-profit health care system based in Seattle, Washington, that provides its members with a wide array of health insurance plans. GHC has a mission to deliver affordable, comprehensive, and quality health care services while focusing on the needs of its community members. Although it operates primarily in the Pacific Northwest, GHC accepts members from other regions through affiliate programs. Since 2017, GHC has been part of Kaiser Permanente, a larger, non-profit health consortium that offers integrated health care services across the United States, enhancing GHC's services through additional resources and expert care teams.
