About Adventist HealthCare Behavioral Health and Wellness Services – Clarksburg
Adventist HealthCare Behavioral Health and Wellness Services was a mental and behavioral health facility. Formerly based in Clarksburg, Maryland, they used to provide support for adults in the local area. They accepted most insurance options, including Maryland Medicaid and Medicare. The facility is now closed.
Programs that were offered here included intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and a structured outpatient program. These were available to adults aged 18 and older and used what’s known as a matrix model curriculum to support clients through intervention and group work.
Programs typically took place over three hours in the morning, which meant participants could spend the rest of their day working, studying or dedicating their time to other commitments alongside recovery. As part of these programs, participants would receive personalized treatment plans to see them through. Clients could also access case management services, group therapy, as well as drug testing services as needed. Relapse prevention workshops were also included, and support and education was available to clients’ families.
Once individuals completed the programs offered here, they would also have access to continuing care to support a sustainable and long-term recovery. For individuals who needed further support for more severe addiction or substance abuse issues, referral services were also available.
