Part of Southern California Alcohol and Drug Programs (SCADP), Angel Step Too is a Los Angeles County Drug Medi-Cal Organized System Provider that offers residential substance use disorder treatment to adult women and children. Services include clinical assessments and treatment planning for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders, residential treatment, DUI services, counseling, case management, employment resources, transportation, and drug screening.

La Casita is one of three residential treatments at SCADP. Angel Step Too is a women’s-only program offering inpatient substance use disorder treatment. Programs include comprehensive assessments and treatment planning, education groups, individual and group counseling, case management, support with a substance abuse specialist or therapist, case management, and support to achieve long-term recovery.

The SCADP outpatient clinic treats substance use disorders for those who do not require residential treatment. The program includes a thorough clinical assessment, individualized treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and psychoeducation. Outpatient sessions vary but are typically held at least three days per week, or in the evening, depending upon the individual’s circumstances.

DUI services are offered under SCADP. Typically, the DUI programs are court ordered, and SCADP’s program meets the county and state requirements. The DUI program may also include the use of medication-assisted treatment or other substance use disorder treatments.

The medication assisted treatment (MAT) program includes counseling, support groups, and medication management in an outpatient setting. This program is appropriate for alcohol and substance use disorders and is available to men, women, pregnant and postpartum people. As clients progress and stabilize, in-person office appointments tend to become less frequent.

As a Medi-Cal provider, programs at Angel Step Too are provided until Medicare, My Health LA qualified individuals, or free of charge.

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
