About Baltimore Area Narcotics Anonymous – Baltimore
Narcotics Anonymous – NA is a 12-Step program that meets in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as cities around the world. NA is open to individuals of all ages and from all walks of life. The program is a part of the Alcoholics Anonymous program and is based on the same principles.
Narcotics Anonymous is for individuals who want a peer-led support group that will help them overcome their addiction. This is an outpatient program.
The outpatient Narcotic Anonymous meetings focus specifically on helping people who are addicted to narcotics. This program is peer-led and uses the principles and steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. The 12 Steps are designed to help a person learn new ways of thinking and participating in the world, while providing solutions and ways of overcoming addictive tendencies. Clients are encouraged to get a sponsor and work the Steps. They are also encouraged to sponsor others and give back to the community.
