About Behavioral Health – Hurst

MHMRTC – Addiction Recovery Center – ARC is a nonprofit, community based substance abuse and mental health support program in Hurst, Texas. They provide detox, inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment, and dual diagnosis services to clients of all ages. They also specialize in supporting youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

MHMRTC offers ambulatory detox, a form of outpatient treatment that allows a client to visit the facility during the day and return home at night. Residential detox is also available. During detox, clients are supported by medical staff who help manage withdrawal symptoms. Treatment includes individual counseling, group counseling, self help groups, medication services, medical monitoring, acupuncture, and referrals to additional drug rehab and support services.

MHMRTC hosts inpatient programs for adults and adolescents. These programs offer a highly structured environment free from outside distractions. Inpatient care includes individual therapy, group therapy, substance use education, family support, seeking safety, and parenting groups. It also features gender-specific care.

Outpatient treatment at MHMRTC allows clients to receive treatment without having to live on site. The focus of the program is to help clients understand the nature of addiction and the recovery process and to accept more responsibility for themselves and their actions.

Dual diagnosis care is for clients with both a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder. This form of specialized care includes counseling, psychiatric screening, case management, and referrals.

MHMRTC may work with major insurance plans like Magellan, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, and BlueCross BlueShield. Clients should confirm coverage before enrolling in treatment, as coverage and out of network benefits may vary.

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
