About Bonita House – Oakland
Bonita House, located on Telegraph Avenue in Oakland, California, offers dual-diagnosis intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) to adult residents of Alameda County and their families. Services include medication management, case management, and employment support.
The IOP meets several times per week for a few hours per session. At Bonita House, services include individual and group therapy, case and medication management, vocational training, employment support services, and referrals to more intensive alcohol or drug rehab treatment if needed.
In addition to the IOP, Bonita House connects clients to community resources such as housing assistance, food, clothes, and other essentials. They also offer life-skills training to help clients reach and maintain independence.
To be eligible, participants must be Medi-Cal beneficiaries. Participants may be referred to additional services that accept private insurance plans, such as Aetna, Humana, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Magellan Health. Because insurance plans vary, be sure to verify coverage information and out-of-network benefits with your insurer.
