About CHCADA – California Hispanic Commission – Sacramento
CHCADA is a private, non-profi t community-based organization that has always sought to address both the antecedents and the secondary effects of substance abuse and dependency through the use of comprehensive interdisciplinary services.
CHCADA seeks to provide culturally competent bicultural, bilingual, and monolingual services that will reduce the environmental vulnerability of low –income Latinos and other marginalized populations in California and throughout the United States.
CHCADA is particularly experienced in working in partnership with the criminal justice system. Though these relationships, they provide mandated treatment to several subpopulations. Thus, CHCADA is familiar with the process of working in tandem with judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, probation officers, and other key persons in transitioning substance users into a drug-free, crime-free life.
