Chrysalis Health – Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program

Chrysalis Health – Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program supports adults who are struggling with their mental health or have a substance use disorder, and these struggles have impacted their ability to live an independent and fruitful life. This is an intensive outpatient program that takes place in Sunrise, Florida.

When you participate in this program, you can look forward to building a sense of community with peer focused support and holistic wraparound services that will help you build the skills you need for an independent life. This program is covered by most major insurance policies, and transportation is available to help you get to and from the center. Operating out of a comfortable home environment, they also serve breakfast and lunch here daily.

The psychosocial rehabilitation program has two tracks. One addresses mental health recovery needs, and the other focuses on substance use recovery.

Despite these different tracks, the core of the programming here is equipping you with the life skills you need to lead an overall healthy, sober and fruitful future. Their life skills curriculum covers key skills like understanding how to land and maintain a job, how to manage your finances, how to operate a computer, and how to engage in everyday activities like cooking, cleaning and even gardening.

There’s also a strong focus on addiction education. You’ll learn the details of how drug use can impact your brain chemistry. Addiction education also extends to your family and loved ones. The Family Education Program here empowers those closest to you with the skills they need to support you during recovery.

While there are evidence based practices here through counseling and therapy, there’s also a strong focus on motivation and empowerment so that you can tap into the “why” behind your recovery journey. There are regular guest speakers and recovery groups where you can engage in faith-based fellowship, mindfulness activities and the 12 Step program.
