About Creative Treatment Options – Arvada
Creative Treatment Options is an outpatient treatment center located in Arvada, Colorado. They specialize in treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health illnesses. They also have court-ordered treatment and DUI classes. The facility is licensed by the state.
The counseling services are given on a sliding fee scale and may be from $40.00 to $70.00 per clinical hour which is about 50 minutes. They have master’s degree interns who give counseling from $25.00 to $50 per session.
There’s an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for substance use treatment. The program helps participants identify and correct self defeating patterns. You’ll also work on establishing a balanced lifestyle to support your ongoing recovery and sobriety. You’ll also get help with co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder or schizoaffective disorder.
The IOP covers a lot of topics such as relapse prevention skills, cognitive behavioral techniques, life skills, identifying triggers, identifying consequences of substance use and claiming ownership of your alcohol or drug use.
The IOP is an 80 hour program that takes about six weeks. You’ll participate in therapy groups three times a week for three hours each. Once you graduate from the six week program then you’ll move into a 12 week aftercare program that meets once a week for three hours.
During treatment, you’ll work on connecting your thoughts to your moods, physical reactions, and behaviors while identifying and rating your moods. You’ll learn how to change your automatic thoughts and apply rational and logical thinking to your life.
Substance use often accompanies negative beliefs and low self esteem. You’ll identify and modify your core beliefs that contribute to your substance use. The center offers a plethora of options for anyone seeking treatment for substance use and mental health disorders.
