About David Lawrence Center – Immokalee Satellite Services – Immokalee
The David Lawrence Center – Immokalee Satellite Services is an alcohol and substance use addiction recovery center located in Immokalee, Florida. Accepting most major insurances, they serve all clients regardless of their ability to pay. With a continuum of care from medical detox to outpatient treatment, they’re ready to meet you wherever you are on your recovery journey.
Their medical detox services are in a 12 bed facility with 24 hour medical supervision, just steps away from their Crossroads residential program. They accept walk-in clients and operate on a first come, first serve basis. There are structured groups throughout the day, including a daily 12 Step meeting, and they also provide activities like yoga and tai chi. Pet therapy is available. The facility has regular visiting hours.
The Crossroads short term inpatient residential program lasts two to five weeks, providing education in five key areas. The first is the Disease Concept of Addiction, which deals with the physical impact of use and strategies for wellness. Managing Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviors through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) goes hand in hand with the building of Healthy Relationships. Recovery Maintenance focuses on relapse prevention. Finally there’s Living a Balanced Lifestyle, a holistic approach to mindfulness and spirituality. These are explored through individual and group therapies and are supplemented with daily 12 Step meetings.
Their outpatient program is open to adults over 18 years of age, providing therapy and other activities that fit into your needs and schedule. This could be their six to eight week intensive outpatient program (IOP), their 20 hour a week partial hospitalization program (PHP), or their Adult Substance Use Group. They also offer a variety of support services such as art and equine therapy, wellness and fitness education, spiritual support services and specialty programs for women. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is available with Suboxone. Tobacco cessation counseling and NARCAN overdose prevention are additional treatment options.
