About Devereux Foundation – Stone and Gables – Devon
Located in Devon, Pennsylvania was the recovery facility called Devereux Foundation Stone and Gables. This was a residential facility that served children who had behavioral health or developmental needs that were impacting their lives. Unfortunately, Stone and Gables was bought by a property developer and is no longer offering residential services to the community.
However, the organization Devereux Foundation is very much still active and is one of the largest providers of comprehensive behavioral healthcare in eastern Pennsylvania. This organization continues to support children, adults, and families.
They offer a continuum of services including outpatient care, residential treatment, and access to other community based services that can help you if you have a co occurring substance use disorder.
While the services offered at Stone and Gables and the greater Devereux Foundation focus heavily on treatment for behavioral health issues including developmental disability, their community partnerships can support you if you are struggling with substance use as well. You would have gotten connected to appropriate programs that can support you through detox and targeted addiction counseling.
Stone and Gables offered a supportive place for children to live as they work through the issues that impact their life. If you were working through a developmental disability, you would have received counseling and therapy to build the necessary skills needed to lead an independent life in adulthood.
Children and families continue to be supported through the Devereux Foundation, and one of the approaches to care is dedicated educational support. There is a strong focus on empowering you with knowledge about the different struggles impacting your life. You would have also had access to holistic therapies in which you were encouraged to tap into your interests and hobbies to build healthier habits.
