About East Central Regional Hospital – Augusta Campus – Augusta
East Central Regional Hospital’s Augusta Campus is located on the south side of Augusta, Georgia, near the South Carolina border. The hospital was established in 1969 and consolidated in 2003 to provide a variety of services, including psychiatric and psychological evaluations, integrated assessments and recovery plans, and behavioral health management.
The Division of Behavioral Health manages programs across three tiers of service, including tier three which offers an array of specialty treatment and support. The division’s goal is to build a recovery oriented system that can provide timely access to high quality treatment. They believe that addiction and severe and persistent mental illness are long-term conditions that must be managed throughout your life.
They use a model that moves from crisis driven services to prevention focused care in the hope of providing sustained support throughout your life based on your strengths, wellness, and goals.
They collaborate with stakeholders across the system to develop policy, service planning, and programs that support treatment and prevention. They also provide links to community resources for adults, adolescents, women, and those struggling with hearing or sight challenges.
Service also includes a Driving Under the Influence Intervention Program, working with offenders in the criminal justice system to provide clinical evaluation and treatment. They work with many insurance providers in Georgia and will verify your insurance coverage so you aren’t surprised by an unexpected medical bill.
