First Step Home in Cincinnati, Ohio, has been providing addiction recovery services for women since 1993. The facility allows mothers to bring children up to 12 with them to the treatment center. The care services clients can receive include withdrawal management, residential and outpatient treatment, and the maternal addiction program.
First Step Home is a recovery support center that provides withdrawal management services for women who are experiencing moderate withdrawal symptoms. A nursing staff will monitor you as you work through the first days of withdrawal.
The facility can also provide you medication assisted treatment to reduce your symptoms. The length of stay at the recovery support center is typically one to five days. You’ll move forward to the next step of your treatment which can be either residential treatment or intensive outpatient care.

The Material Addiction Program tailors substance use disorder treatment to the needs of pregnant and postpartum women. Clients will receive trauma informed individual and group therapy, parenting classes, and vocational educational classes.
You’ll also have access to medical and prenatal care. Individuals will learn effective coping skills to prevent relapse and address the core issues that are contributing to their substance use.
