They help individuals develop better social skills and teach them how to live independently.
There are some specialized programs at this location, one of which is an intensive in home program. This is for families whose children are in danger of being taken out of the home and where the needs of the family exceed the outpatient care program. The mental health needs of the children are emphasized in this program. The therapist helps the family function more effectively in the community and the home.
There’s also an early intervention program for infants and toddlers who aren’t developing basic skills in a timely manner. The program is in partnership with the Infant & Toddler Connection. The program includes case management and assessments, as well as physical, speech, and occupational therapy.
